WHOLE FOODS, THE WHOLE30, AND PALEO: YOUR KITCHEN ESSENTIALS

Welcome, dear readers! Here’s where I show my favorite kitchen tools and nice-to-haves. I will give you various options for appropriate categories since everyone’s budget varies. There are thousands of options for every kitchen necessity, and shopping for them can be fun! I am glad to show you the instruments that I like, but I also encourage you looking for it at your local kitchen store or in your favorite e-store and choose whatever you prefer.

Pots and Pans

You have to consider many factors here; whether you want stainless steel, non-stick, enameled, iron, or all of the above? Do you only need one matching set or individual pieces will work the best for you? Can you afford to get all pots and pans at once, or would you rather purchase one piece at a time? This is completely up to you, but I will show you a few options that I like. (Please note the sellers may update prices).

Measuring Cups and Spoons

You will have many choices here. It’s easy to get lost. The all-in-one measuring spoons with adjustable amounts are less convenient than they are worth. As usual, stainless steel is healthier and more durable than plastic. Buy two sets, so you and your sous chefs won’t be fighting over them. It’s also a good idea to have one large measuring cup, especially if you have a big family.

Ipow 10-Piece Color-Coded Measuring Set ($14)
Pyrex 3-Piece Glass Measuring Cup Set ($15)
Stainless Steel Measuring Cups and Spoons – 12 pieces ($19)

Baking Sheets

This is also going to be easy. You may want to buy two or three baking sheets if you are going to cook at home a lot and stick to a healthier lifestyle.

Vollrath Wear-Ever Aluminum Baker’s Sheet, 1/2 Size – 18” x 13” ($22)

Cutting Boards

You will need the right tool for chopping because you will do a lot of this. If you invest in a good-quality cutting board (or several), they will last long enough. Plastic is not a great choice. I prefer wooden boards. If you cannot afford more expensive variants, bamboo cutting boards are a great opportunity to save a few 10-dollar bills.
